D3M Detector

The D3M Detector continuously scans and monitors the environment for radiological threats and alerts the user when it detects a gamma and/or neutron radioactive source.

The Detector has the power to save a snapshot of the spectral data every second. A PRD operator can carry out their usual activities while the D3M is recording spectral data in the background every second. If a radiation event were to occur, the user can move to a safe location to extract data from the D3M to give a picture of the radiation event.

The D3M can be used as a powerful standalone detector or connected to a smartphone to allow networking of multiple detector. When paired with a phone with the Kromek ID app, the D3M becomes the D3M ID, and adopts the RIID capability of isotope identification.
